Floating Countdown
This video will show you how to easily add a script to your website which displays a floating bar that appears at the top or bottom of thebrowser window, moving smoothly back into view when the page is scrolled. You can use any HTML content inside of the bar and, as an example, the second part of the video shows how to add a countdown script into the floating bar.
To make that bar less intrusive, once it is closed (by clicking on the "x"), the bar can be set to dismiss for the entire duration of the browser session, by setting a cookie. Reloading the websites page will not bring it back.
